Edvin Østergaard is a composer and professor at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. In his research and teaching in Art and Science in Education, he is primarily concerned with the interaction of music and natural sciences, aesthetics in learning, and the diversity of forms of knowledge. In 2010 he received Norway’s highest award for music, the Spellemann Prize, for his album Die 7. Himmelsrichtung (LWC 1014). In 2021, Østergaard was awarded “Work of the Year” for the composition Ørenslyd. Ritus V (2019) by the Norwegian Society of Composers.
